Mother's Chicken and Dressing
Mother'S Chicken And Dressing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. cooked chicken, biscuits, cornbread, 4 eggs and 1 large onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Use half biscuit and half cornbread crumbs to thicken broth from chicken.
Add onion, chopped fine.
Add eggs, well beaten and salt, pepper and sage, as desired.
Add margarine.
Cook on top of stove, stirring constantly until margarine is melted, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Mixture will thicken as it cooks.
Add enough evaporated milk to make mixture into thick-pouring consistency. Pour into large baking pan with layers, half of dressing, then chicken and top with remaining dressing.
Bake in 350Β° oven until brown.
(I prefer to skin and debone chicken.)
