In a 2-quart rectangular casserole, beat together the eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla with a fork.

Place the 6 slices of bread, buttered side up, on the egg mixture.

Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 375° and cook for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
