Mother Ripp's Hot Fudge Sauce
Mother Ripp'S Hot Fudge Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 sq. chocolate and 1 large can evaporated milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Melt margarine in top of double boiler.
Drop in chocolate and melt.
Gradually add sugar, 4 tablespoons at a time.
Add salt. Gradually add milk.
The water in the double boiler must be kept boiling.
Lastly, add vanilla.
Cook until desired thickness, about 1 hour.
Stir often.
Store in refrigerator.
Can be reheated.
