Monkey Bread

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; set aside.
Mix shortening, sugar, salt and boiling water.
Add beaten egg.
Add flour and yeast mixture alternately until complete.
Let rise in a warm place until doubled.
Knead dough well.
Pull off pieces about the size of a walnut; dip into butter and place in loaf pan or Bundt pan.
Continue filling until pan is 2/3 full.
Cover and let rise.
