Monkey Bread
Monkey Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. crisco, 1/3 c. sugar, 3/4 tsp. salt and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
Let set.
Cream sugar, salt and Crisco together; add 1/2 cup boiling water, well beaten egg and yeast.
Add 1 cup flour and beat well.
Add rest of flour and let rise.
Roll out dough and cut into about 3-inch strips. Dip in melted oleo, put in pan and let rise.
Bake at 350Β°. (Takes 1 stick of oleo.)
