Cream together sugar, butter and Crisco.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one; sift dry ingredients together 3 times. to egg mixture alternately with milk. Mix well after addition.
Add vanilla.
Bake in a tube pan in oven preheated to 325Β° for 1 hour or until it springs back when touched.
