Moma's Brownies

Mix shortening, cocoa and margarine together over very low heat, stirring constantly; cool.
Beat eggs until light; stir in sugar, then chocolate mixture and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients, mixing well.
Add nuts.
Bake in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes; cool.
Frost with Chocolate Butter Frosting.
Cut in squares.
