Mom's Soft Raisin Cookies
Mom'S Soft Raisin Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. water, 2 c. raisins, 1 c. shortening, 1 3/4 c. sugar and 2 eggs, lightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Combine raisins and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool (do not drain). In mixing bowl, cream shortening.
Gradually add sugar and eggs and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients.
Gradually add to cream mixture and blend thoroughly.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonful 2-inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 14 minutes.
