Mom's Bread Pudding
Mom'S Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. cubed dry bread, 4 c. scalded milk, 3/4 c. sugar, 2/3 stick butter and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Soak cubed dry bread in scalded milk, 5 to 10 minutes.
Add sugar, butter, salt, vanilla and nutmeg.
Add slightly beaten eggs.
Mix very well.
Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking pan or glass baking dish.
Bake at 325° in pan for 1 hour or at 300° in baking dish for 1 hour until firm.
Cool and eat warm, add added touch if wanted, 1/2 cup chopped apples.
This is an excellent pudding from generations.
