Molasses Stack Cake
Molasses Stack Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. molasses, 2 eggs and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Shortening, brown sugar, molasses and eggs.
Beat until smooth.
Add buttermilk.
Mix spices in flour.
Add soda and salt to flour. Add mixture by hand.
Stir until smooth. Spread cake pans (8 1/2 x 11 1/2-inch) and bake at 350Β°.
This should make 5 or 6 thin layers.
