Molasses Jam Cake
Molasses Jam Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. other shortening, 2 c. sugar (substitute 3/4 c. molasses for 1 c. sugar), 1 c. blackberry jam and 5 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 350Β°. Cream together butter, shortening and sugar and add molasses and jam.
Separate eggs.
Beat yolks into butter mixture.
Sift dry ingredients and add with milk.
