Mix sugar, oil, egg and molasses together until smooth.
Add flour, baking soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and salt.
Mix well. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll each ball in sugar.
Bake for 10 minutes at 350Β°.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
