Mississippi Mud Sauce
Mississippi Mud Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. miniature marshmallows, 1 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. cocoa, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 c. evaporated skim milk and 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine 1/3 cup marshmallows, cocoa and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Gradually stir in milk and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
Let cool.
Stir in 1/4 cup marshmallows and Grape-Nuts.
Serve over frozen yogurt, angel food cake or fresh fruit.
Yields 1 cup, 4 (1/2 cup) servings.
