Mississippi Mud Cake
Mississippi Mud Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, 2 c. sugar, 1/3 c. cocoa, 1 1/2 c. flour and 1 c. shortening (liquid), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix first 5 ingredients, then add nuts and vanilla.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan, greased and floured (or sprayed with Pam cooking spray).
Bake at 300° for 35 minutes.
Cake should look like isn't finished baking.
Remove from oven and spread marshmallows (as desired) over top of cake.
Put back in oven.
Bake at 350° until marshmallows soften and puff up.
Remove from oven and let cool for 1 hour, then spread on icing.
