Mississippi Mud Cake
Mississippi Mud Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 4 eggs, 1 1/2 c. flour and 1/3 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Sift flour, cocoa and salt together.
Add to mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 35 minutes at 300Β°.
Remove from oven.
Spread marshmallows evenly over top. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
Take out of oven and spread with the following frosting.
