Miracle Pound Cake

Cream shortening and whipped margarine with sugar; cream well. Add half of flour, half of milk and blend.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating one minute after each egg.
Add remaining flour and milk; blend well.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour in tube pan that has been greased and floured well.
Bake in cold oven at 325° starting for one hour, then turn oven to 350° and bake 20 minutes longer. Do not open oven until done.
