Thoroughly blend butter, corn syrup, extract and salt.
Add sugar; mix with spoon and hands until blended smooth.
Divide mixture into thirds; knead desired food colorings into two portions.
Leave one white.
Shape into small round balls; flatten with tines of fork onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets.
Let dry several hours.
Makes about 6 dozen.
