Mike's Chewy Oatmeal Cookies
Mike'S Chewy Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sifted plain flour, 3/4 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 325Β° oven 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
