Microwave Red Rice
Microwave Red Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 links smoked sausage, 1 medium onion, 1/4 c. shallots, 1/4 c. parsley and 1/2 medium bell pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Saute onions, shallots, parsley, bell pepper and sausage over stove a few minutes.
Add everything else except rice.
Let this come to a boil.
Now add rice.
Take this off of the stove.
Cover with lid.
Microwave for 35 minutes on 50% power.
Stir twice during cooking.
Let stand for 15 minutes before serving (covered).
Do not over microwave.
This may not look done.
The longer it stands, the better it is.
It finishes cooking while standing.
