Microwave Caramel Corn
Microwave Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 qt. popped popcorn (2 poppers), 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick), 1/4 c. light corn syrup and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Out old maids from popped corn; pour into a large paper grocery
2-quart ovenproof bowl, heat in microwave on High the brown sugar, butter or margarine, corn syrup and salt.
Heat to boiling, stirring after every minute (3 to 4 minutes).
When mixture comes to a boil, microwave 2 minutes more.
Remove microwave; in baking soda until foamy.
Over popped corn.
Stir with long handled wooden spoon, or shake vigorously until kernels are coated. Put sack in microwave
High for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir or shake bag well; microwave for 1 1/2 minutes more.
Turn out into large pan (roaster or cookie sheet) to cool.
