Mexican Shells is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger meat, 1 (8 oz.) jar picante sauce (i use mild), 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 1/2 c. water and 2 c. grated mozzarella cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cook shells by directions (drain).

Brown hamburger meat (drain excess fat).

Mix picante sauce, tomato sauce and water together. Add 1/2 cup sauce mix, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/4 cup onions to meat. Pour half of remaining sauce into bottom of 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish. Stuff shells and put into dish.

Pour remainder of sauce over shells.

Bake shells (covered) 30 minutes at 350Β°.

Uncover and top with remainder of cheese and add onions.

Return to oven just to brown onions and melt cheese.
