Mexican Corn Bread
Mexican Corn Bread is an impressive Mexican baked good you can prepare in about 2 hours 14 minutes. Made with c. corn meal, . soda, c. flour, c. vegetable oil and c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Caution
Skillet must be greased and hot before adding cornmeal mixture.
Brown hamburger; drain off fat.
Grate cheese; set aside.
Combine onions, hot peppers; set aside.
Place a 9-inch iron skillet, greased well, in a hot oven.
Mix all dry ingredients, add eggs, oil, milk and corn.
Remove hot skillet from oven.
Put 1/2 of corn meal mixture in skillet.
Spread cheese over mixture.
Then sprinkle hamburger over cheese.
Sprinkle onions and pepper over hamburger.
Cover with rest of corn meal mixture.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 1 hour 15 minutes.
