Mexican Chocolate Cake
Mexican Chocolate Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. all-purpose flour, 3/4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine first 8 ingredients in a medium bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
Combine buttermilk, egg whites and oil; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into an 8-inch round cake pan coated with cooking spray.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes in pan.
Serve warm.
