Mercer's Fudge
Mercer'S Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. margarine (4 oz. to 1 stick), 4 1/2 c. sugar, 1 (12 oz.) can carnation milk, 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips and 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow crème, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Put margarine, sugar and milk into a pan and heat mixture until it comes to a boil.
Boil for 8 minutes (230°), stirring constantly.
In a large mixing bowl, put chocolate chips and Marshmallow Crème and then pour hot mixture over this.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and pinch of salt, if desired.
Stir until creamy.
Add pecans and drop in small pieces on wax paper.
