Cream butter.
Add sugar, vanilla and egg.
Beat until light. Add sifted flour and other dry ingredients and nuts.
Drop by scant teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets.
Bake at 400Β° for 5 minutes.
Cool for 1/2 minute and remove to wire racks.
Yields 4 to 5 dozen.
