Melt-in-the-Mouth Cookies
Melt-In-The-Mouth Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. flour, sifted, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened and 1 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and reserve.
Put butter or margarine in large mixer bowl.
Add brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
Beat with mixer or wooden spoon until light and fluffy.
Beat in flour mixture with spoon or mixer, blending until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Drop by scant measuring teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in 400Β° oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1/2 minute. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
