Melt Away Bars
Tender shortbread bars enriched with chopped nuts, brushed with egg white, and crowned with colored sugar. Crumbly, festive, and cookie-tray ready.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
In large bowl, mix butter, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, flour and 1/2 cup nuts.
Blend well.
Spread in ungreased jelly roll pan 15 x 10-inch.
Beat egg whites until frothy.
Spread over mix. Sprinkle with colored sugar and 1/2 cup nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
Cool and cut into squares or bars.
