Meat Dressing is an easy dinner. Made with broth of ham, 2 or more c. water (according to amount of broth and if salty), small amount chopped onion and cornmeal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Add water to broth of ham.
Add onion.
Cook with broth until onion is tender.
Add cornmeal a little at a time until thickened. Stop adding meal before too dry.
If thick enough after it is chilled, can be sliced and fried until brown.
