Mccall's Best Chocolate Loaf
Mccall'S Best Chocolate Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. boiling water, 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, 2 c. sifted plain flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In small bowl, pour boiling water over chocolate.
Let cool. Preheat oven to 325Β°.
Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Sift flour with salt and soda.
Set aside.
In large bowl of electric mixer at high speed, beat butter, vanilla, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
At low speed, beat in flour mixture; alternate with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Beat in chocolate mixture just until combined.
