Mark'S New York Chocolate Trifle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix (for 2 layer cake), 1 (16 oz.) can hershey's syrup, 3 pkg. instant chocolate pudding, 1 qt. milk and 8 oz. cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Prepare pudding, using entire quart of milk.
Cover bottom of a large glass trifle bowl with syrup.
Break 1 cake layer into pieces and place on top of syrup.
Spread 1/2 pudding mixture over cake pieces.
Spread 1/2 Cool Whip over pudding.
Sprinkle candy pieces over Cool Whip. Repeat layers, ending with Cool Whip. Refrigerate.
