Marguerites is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 4 marshmallows, 2 tbsp. shredded coconut and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Boil sugar and water until syrup will spin a long thread when dropped from the tines of a fork.
Remove from fire.
Add marshmallows, cut in pieces.
Do not stir.
Pour into stiffly beaten egg whites; beat until stiff.
Add coconut, nuts and vanilla.
Pile on crackers and bake in slow oven (325° to 350°) until delicately browned.
