Macaroni Casserole
Macaroni Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ziti macaroni, 1 lb. ground chuck, 1 1/2 lb. ricotta cheese, 1/4 c. grated romano cheese and 1 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook macaroni al dente; rinse in cold running water.
Drain well.
Brown chuck lightly; drain and cool.
In a large bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, grated cheese, chuck, shredded Mozzarella cheese and eggs.
Combine ziti with cheese mixture.
Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking dish with spaghetti sauce.
Pour entire mixture of macaroni in dish.
Top with generous amount of sauce and additional grated cheese.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
