Low-Fat Egg Casserole
Low-Fat Egg Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean sausage, 6 slices bread, toasted and cut into small pieces, 1 1/2 c. butter buds, 2 1/2 c. 1% or skim milk and 12 egg whites or egg beaters, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In skillet, fry sausage, then drain, running hot water over sausage; let cool.
Butter bread (one side only) using Butter Buds.
Grate Cheddar cheese.
Alternate layers of bread pieces and cheese.
Beat egg whites or Egg Beaters with salt and milk.
Pour over mixture and let cool in refrigerator overnight.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 40 minutes.
