Louisiana Special Pound Cake
Louisiana Special Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box pound cake mix (betty crocker), 1 box confectioners' sugar (reserve 1/2 c.), 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 stick melted butter and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine cake mix, butter and two eggs. Blend well.
Spread in a well greased 13x9 aluminum pan.
Then beat cream cheese (room temperature) until fluffy. Add 2 eggs, vanilla and confectioners' sugar.
Blend well.
Pour over cake and sprinkle nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 30-40 minutes.
Take out and sprinkle reserve, 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar while the cake is still hot.
Cool before cutting or cake will crumble.
Overnight is best before cutting.
