Louisiana Pear Cake

Mix margarine, sugar and egg together. Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together.
Add to sugar and egg mixture.
Add vanilla, pears and nuts and mix well.
Pour into a greased and floured baking dish or 8 x 8-inch pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 hour.
Serve with whipped cream.
