Louisiana Corn Bread
Louisiana Corn Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 large chopped onion, 1 can ro-tel, garlic to taste and salt to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook first five ingredients together until beef is browned.
Mix together.
Grease 9 x 11-inch dish. Spread 1/2 of cornmeal mixture into dish.
Add meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
Spread the rest of cornmeal batter.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes or until corn bread is browned and done in center.
