Loaf Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1 1/4 c. warm water, 2 tbsp. shortening, 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 2/3 c. flour (self-rising), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast; add all ingredients and 2 cups flour.
Blend 1/2 minute on low setting and 2 minutes on medium setting.
Stir in remaining flour.
Let rise 30 minutes.
Beat ingredients with spoon, then smooth out in greased loaf pan.
Bake at 375Β° for 45 minutes.
