Lizzies is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with c. brown sugar, c. butter or margarine, eggs, well beaten, c. flour and . soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Cream sugar and butter thoroughly.
Add beaten eggs.
Sift together flour, soda and spices.
Add to egg mixture.
Add milk and bourbon; mixing well.
Add nuts, citron and candied cherries. Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake in moderately slow oven (325Β°) for 25 minutes.
These are wonderful for eggnog or Tom and Jerry parties.
Yields six dozen cookies.
