Lisa'S Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast (rapidrise), 2 c. milk, 1/4 c. (approximately) dark karo syrup, 1/2 c. (little less) vegetable oil and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix all dry ingredients except 2 cups of the white flour. Heat milk, syrup and vegetable oil (follow directions on yeast package). Add to flour mixture, then add the egg.

Add the remaining flour until consistency is right.

Let rise until doubled.

Knead and form into loaves.

Let rise again in bread pans, approximately 20 minutes. Bake at 425Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
