Linzer Tarts
Linzer Tarts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks), 2 eggs, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. almond extract and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cream butter and sugar.
Blend eggs, extract, flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix well.
Chill at least 1 hour before rolling. Roll 1/4-inch and cut with round cutter.
Cut half again without centers.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350Β° for 8 minutes. Will look white (do not overbake).
Cool on wire rack.
Spread preserves on bottom.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and then put them together.
