Lincoln Almond Cake
Lincoln Almond Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, 3 c. flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Mix together sugar and butter.
Sift together flour and baking powder; slowly add to butter and sugar mixture alternately with small amount of milk.
Mix thoroughly. Add chopped almonds and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
In bowl, beat egg whites with salt until stiff; blend with other mixture.
Pour into greased and floured angel food pan or Bundt pan.
Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool upside-down on a wire rack.
