Lightbody Stew
Lightbody Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chuck, cubed, 1/2 tsp. garlic, 1/2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. black pepper and 1/2 tsp. marjoram, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Brown meat in 1 tablespoon oil; add a few tablespoons flour and coat meat.
Add spices, 2 cups hot water and 1 or 2 cups white wine; bring to a boil.
Add potatoes, carrots, celery, tomato and onion; simmer 2 hours.
Add remaining vegetables and simmer until tender.
Add more liquid if needed.
Keep vegetables covered in liquid.
