Lentils with Rice
Lentils With Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. lentils, 4 c. water, 2 large onions, diced, 1/2 c. oil and 1 c. rice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Rinse lentils and add to water.
Bring to boil and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Saute onions in oil until golden brown; add rice and salt.
Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until rice and lentils are fluffy.
Be careful rice and lentils don't stick.
Place on serving platter and completely cover the lentils and rice with the fried onions.
May be served hot or cold. Serves 6.
