Lemonade Syrup Base
Lemonade Syrup Base is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. water, finely grated peel of 1 lemon, 1 1/2 c. lemon juice and ice cubes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Measure sugar, water and lemon peel into large saucepan. While stirring constantly with wooden spoon, bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add lemon juice to cooled sugar mixture.
Pour this lemonade syrup into a quart jar and cover it tightly with a lid.
It can be stored in refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks.
