Lemon Sauce
Lemon Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 4 tbsp. cold water, 1 c. boiling water and 1 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine sugar and cornstarch; add cold water.
Pour boiling water over mixture.
Add butter; cook over very low heat or in top of double boil until thick, about 15 minutes.
Pour slowly over beaten egg, whisking all the while.
Lastly, add lemon juice and rind.
Serve hot over gingerbread.
