Lemon Nut Bread
Lemon Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 1/4 c. flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream together the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs to sugar mixture.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with 1/2 cup of milk.
Mix in nuts and peel of lemon. Bake in a loaf pan at 350Β° for 1 hour or 2 small loaf pans and bake until done (less time).
