Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tbsp. baking powder and 1/2 c. wheat germ, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Sift together the first 4 ingredients; add wheat germ.
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine water and lemon juice; add to shortening, sugar and egg mixture with lemon peel.
Pour into flour mixture; stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
Do not beat.
Turn into well-greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until it tests done.
