Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. oil, finely grated rind of 1 lemon, 2 unbeaten eggs and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine first 5 ingredients by hand.
Add flour, salt, baking powder and chopped nuts.
Mix and bake one hour in preheated oven at 350Β° or until toothpick comes out dry.
Remove from oven and while still warm (hot) pour over the top the juice from lemon mixed with 1/4 cup sugar.
Let stand until cold and remove from pan. (This bread is a sweet tea type bread, is simple to make as all mixing is done by hand.
Bread freezes well.)
