Layered Salad
Layered Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. shredded lettuce, 4 or 5 carrots, thinly sliced, 1 1/2 c. precooked, drained and chilled macaroni, 1 pkg. small frozen peas and 1 medium size red onion, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a large bowl, layer lettuce, carrots, macaroni, peas, onion and sausage.
Repeat layers.
Whip the mayonnaise, dill weed and salt together.
Frost salad with the mixture.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese on top of dressing (whipped mixture).
Cover with foil and refrigerate.
