Layered Mixed Vegetable Salad
Layered Mixed Vegetable Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces, 1/2 c. chopped green or red onions, 1/2 c. (1 stalk) chopped celery, 1/2 c. (1 small) chopped green pepper and 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In a large clear bowl, layer lettuce and onions.
Spoon 1/2 cup Ranch dressing evenly over top.
Layer celery, green pepper and peas.
Spread remaining salad dressing over top.
Sprinkle sugar, cheese and bacon on top.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Add water chestnuts.
Toss before serving.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
